Starting early is the best way to see better results, Magapantay said. Magpantay said that the DOH is promoting expenditure of leafy, green, and yellow vegetables like saluyot, malunggay, kamote tops, kangkong, and alugbati.According to DOH, other tips include eating at least three to five servings of fruits a day. Fruits are rich sources of vitamin C, beta-carotene and potassium. Eating complex carbohydrates for breakfast like oatmeal, camote, whole grain cereals and wheat bread is additionally good. People should additionally avoid intake of too much sugar and salt, limit expenditure of fatty foods particularly from meat and other animal sources and avoid smoking, Magpantay said.He additionally said that avoiding stress is additionally good for the body along with aerobic exercises, as this improves blood circulation, muscle tone, and the opening of the heart and the lungs.Magpantay said families should additionally watch closely what they eat and ensure that food prepared is in accordance with a balance diet.
